We Started Asking a Question Most Fittings Skip
Before we talk loft or launch angle, we ask how your hands and wrists actually feel after eighteen holes. That question is the whole reason Vibration Damp Lab exists.
Built by a Fitter Who Had to Change His Own Setup
Vibration Damp Lab opened in Ogden in 2016 after our founder, a longtime club fitter, developed golfer's elbow that a standard equipment swap never solved. Digging into shaft dampening research and grip compound testing fixed what a generic "try a softer grip" recommendation couldn't. That research became the basis for how we fit every client who walks in.
A decade later, we've logged comfort data on more than thirty-six hundred hands, working alongside standard performance fitting rather than instead of it — every client still gets a full launch monitor session, plus a shock reading most studios never measure at all.
Three Things Every Fitting Includes
Comfort Before Catalog
Grip, shaft, and insert choices are ranked by measured shock transfer for your swing, not by what a manufacturer labels "comfort" on the box.
No Brand Loyalty
We stock damping options from every major maker so we're never steering you toward one line because of shelf space.
Performance Still Comes First
A comfortable club that costs you fifteen yards isn't a fitting win — every damping choice is checked against your launch numbers before it's finalized.
Meet the Team Behind the Numbers
Our fitters combine standard club-fitting training with hands-on experience adapting equipment for joint pain and injury recovery.
