Our sensor-equipped launch monitor captures ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and attack angle on every swing — alongside a grip-mounted reading of vibration transfer at impact. Every demo head and shaft gets compared on both scales at once.
From there we map two things together: which combination produces your best numbers, and which of those combinations actually feels controlled through the strike. The two don't always point to the same club off the rack, which is exactly why the comparison matters.
What Changes in a Comfort-First Driver Fitting
Head Design & MOI
Higher-MOI heads resist twisting on off-center strikes, which reduces both distance loss and the jolt that travels back up the shaft on a mishit.
Shaft Weight & Dampening
Multi-material and dampened shaft constructions absorb more vibration before it reaches your hands, without necessarily changing swing feel or tempo.
Grip Compound
Softer polymer or corded grips lower shock transfer noticeably compared to a standard rubber grip, especially for players with reduced grip strength.
Loft & Face Angle
Adjustable hosels let us dial loft in half-degree steps, matched to your attack angle for the cleanest possible strike pattern.
Length
A shorter, better-controlled driver often improves center-strike percentage, which lowers average shock even before any material changes.
Grip Diameter
An undersized grip can force extra hand tension through impact; sizing it correctly for your hand often reduces perceived shock on its own.

A lower-MOI head combined with a stiff, undamped shaft tends to transmit the most shock on mishits — a higher-MOI head with a damped shaft is usually the first fix we try.
